A Syringe?Based DNAzyme Sensor for Bacterial Detection

We present a simple approach for bacterial detection that uses bead-bound RNA-cleaving DNAzyme (RcD) and syringe. The RcD used in this study, F-EC1, is fluorescently labelled can be specifically activated by protein target released E. coli. Upon immobilization on agarose beads, the kinetic behaviour of F-EC1 remains similar to solution. F-EC1-agarose system was able detect as few 1,000 CFUs coli retained high recognition specificity. A syringe-based biosensor subsequently designed, where F-EC1-bearing beads were loaded onto filter-containing column. incubation with an containing reaction mixture, cleavage fragment from filtered nitrocellulose paper detected. sensor achieve water, milk, apple juice. This method cost-effective, use, adapted other ligand-responsive DNAzymes.

A SERS DNAzyme biosensor for lead ion detection.

SERS biosensor for sensitive and selective detection of lead ions (Pb(2+)) based on DNAzyme was developed by taking advantage of the specific catalytic reaction of DNAzyme upon binding to Pb(2+) ions.
